The vision for the Old Gym, as it is fondly referred to, comprises a patchwork of dreams – none of which are mutually exclusive. Some of us want to maintain the unique architecture of the gym. Others want to see the gym’s rich history in the community carried on. All of us share a common desire to preserve the values of community, faith, family, integrity, and sportsmanship that the Old Gym represents. It is our hope that the “Old Gym” will again become an asset to Midlothian that can be used by future generations. With one leg in the past and the other leg in the future, the Old Gym symbolizes the crossroads where Midlothian stands today – a community rich in history and full of promise for the future.
To make this dream come true, we need the support of the community – individuals, organizations, and businesses. An estimated $325,000 is needed to repair and return the facility to service for the benefit of the community.
Our fundraising goals will be met through a variety of activities. We ask that you consider being a part of this effort through:
· Corporate pledges and donations
· Individual giving
· Fundraising events
Financial support will be recognized in a number of ways and can be customized to meet company or individual requests.
